Join us for a fun afternoon of kayaking on Friday June 10, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., starting at Erie Canal Adventures at 1125 Marina Parkway in Macedon. After a short paddling lesson by Captain LJ Fisher, the group will paddle east toward lock 30 while enjoying an interactive, guided Erie Canal history tour describing the who, what, when, why and how of the Erie Canal and its construction. There will be the opportunity to view wildlife, including green and blue herons, red-winged blackbirds, painted turtles and perhaps even an osprey or bald eagle. Cost includes equipment, lessons and guided tour with the group. After kayaking, those who wish can go to Long Acre Farm nearby for wine tasting and/or ice cream.
