Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers

The Monroe County Bar Association's Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers Committee is part of the New York State Bar's Lawyer Assistance Program . Its focus is to offer assistance to those suffering from alcoholism, drug addiction, mental stress, depression, and/or other mental illnesses, comprised of volunteer attorneys, some of whom have personal experience with these diseases.

The Committee works anonymously assisting attorneys and/or family members and colleagues affected by these diseases, referring those in need to competent professional help and self-help support groups. Help can be accessed 24 hour/7 days a week through any member known to the community or its hotline at (585) 234-1950. The hotline is confidential. All communication with the Committee is privileged pursuant to the Judiciary Law.
