2007
Survey of Florida Law Update Available at MCBA
Each year, the Monroe County Bar Center for Education
obtains the Survey of Florida Law Update recorded programs so that
attorneys licensed in Florida can earn Florida continuing education
credit more easily. The 2007 tapes were recently issued and are
available. These qualify for 11.0 hours of general Florida CLER
credit, including 4.5 hours of ethics. Florida credit no longer
qualifies for New York State CLE due to a change in Florida requirements.
The topics covered in the audiotapes are: criminal law update; real
estate law update; custody: the new wave in modification; counseling,
discipline, and ethical responsibilities in the professional environment;
family law judicial ethical pet peeves; introduction and summary
of Florida’s new trust code; Florida Association of Realtors/The
Florida Bar Contract(s); real estate closing; medical malpractice:
debating current issues/recent cases; ethics discussion.
These are now compact discs instead of in the cassette format Florida
used to issue these. You will also now be able to post these CLE
credits online with Florida.
The Monroe County Bar Center for Education lends these CDs out to
MCBA members at no charge. If you would like to borrow them to help
meet your Florida CLE requirements, please contact Galina
Nazarenko at MCBA to sign them out. There are 5 sets, therefore,
CDs must be returned within one week to ensure
their availability for others.
