As our Nation again approaches a critical election day, a swirl of legal and practical issues loom surrounding the voting process including questions on determining eligible voters, the process of mail ballots, the counting of votes by the states and the federal Constitution limitations. In practical terms, the New York election process has seen considerable changes: early voting, wider circulation of mail ballots and other changes. Our panel has just the skills to answer these questions and others. Daan Braveman, Esq., the former Dean of the Syracuse University College of Law, President-emeritus of Nazareth College and now with Harter Secrest & Emery will explore the myriad state and federal legal challenges facing the voting process in 2020, including reference to Supreme Court cases on voting issues from 2000 to date. James E. Long, Esq., a commissioner of the Legislative Bill Drafting Commission, has decades of experience as an election lawyer in New York and is familiar with the changes to our voting system. Moderated by Justice Richard A. Dollinger, New York Court of Claims JOIN US FOR A DISCUSSION OF OUR MOST PRECIOUS RIGHT AND IMPORTANCE OF OUR VOTES.
