There are several different types of IP Licenses, each unique. This course will dive into two distinct IP licenses - trademark licenses and patent licenses. Many practitioners do not understand the essential parts that make up each of these, which can result in common pitfalls downstream. While each license inevitably will contain different provisions and details, and can vary greatly in their length and complexity, most IP licenses contain a similar structure or framework. This course dissects patent and trademark licenses into their essential provisions and discusses frequent issues that may arise. Course Objectives: I. Define and briefly discuss trademark and patent licenses II. Overview of the essential provisions for trademark and patent licenses III. Identify frequently encountered licensing issues and how to address them
