Grant of $10,000 awarded to the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar
February 26, 2016-Rochester, N.Y.-Two grants totaling $10,000 have been awarded to the Foundation of the Monroe County Bar from the U.S District Court for the Western District of New York. The grants are designated toward increasing diversity in the Rochester legal community and helping to supply elementary students at a Rochester City School with classroom tools, books, and special education materials.

McFadden Speaks to Bar Association About Racial Disparities

MCBA workshop focuses on self-care, wellness
Monday, February 1, 2016- Rochester, N.Y.- Monroe County Bar Association Health and Well-Being Programming Committee Chair Kim Duguay introduced the speakers for the Jan. 29 wellness skills workshop, a lunch-time program offered free of charge, complete with lunch, goodie bags, and in class exercises.The owners of Tree of Hope Counseling presented simple tactics for building personal awareness of stress, becoming aware of the sources of stress, and self-care techniques to avoid compassion fatigue.
